Natchez Trace info needed

Planning a ride soon and was thinking of riding Natchez Trace Parkway from Nashville to Natchez. I'm assuming it's similar to Blue Ridge Parkway (good roads, very scenic with 45 mph speed limit). Anyone been there for a thumbs up/down on the idea?

I have driven it in a truck in missisipi. Its pretty cool. Hot and full of armadillo.

I did it a few years back on the Venture. Had a really good time. Beautiful scenery, good roads and some nice mom & pop restaurants along the way to get some good local cuisine.

Just got back from week long 2500 mile ride to Gulfport MS via Blue Ridge Parkway, Deals Gap, Natchez Trace. Nice roads (and cooler temps) on the way out. Interstate back wasn't nearly as much fun but I did meet some interesting bikers along the way. Not many of us out there compared to summers past, perhaps too hot for some.

PS: You know it's hot when a motorcyclist is praying for rain
