Did not know about the no gas gauge on the SV.

The more I think about it, the more I think I convinced myself on an FZ6....so long as it has the new gauge cluster ('07+). Now I just need to find one at a reasonable price! :rockon:

Just get the FZ6 man! It sounds like you have a good head on your shoulders, and you'll probably be just fine with a 600 cc bike as long as you keep a healthy amount of respect for it.

There are certainly deals to be found on motorcycles since it's "off season" right now, and most dealers would like to move their product rather than pay 5+ months of floor plan interest on each unit.

You should be able to find a 2008/2009 FZ6 for somewhere around $6000-$6400 OTD.
