N.S.W Storm

Hi all,
Just want to wish the best for all the people affected by the current storms.
I live in Newcastle and we suffered mild flooding and a tree fallen through our back fence.
No-one hurt and no major damage here.

But unfortunately some haven't been so lucky.

NSW storm declared a 'catastrophe' with damage bill of $129 million - 9news.com.au

Half way down the page is a video of a house getting washed away by the floods!
Hopefully the worst is over.

OMG.....the weather certainly has been crazy the last year or so.

It's pretty bad. The inlaws live in Newcastle - Elermore Vale - the big tree next door came crashing down in the road - SES had to remove it. Luckily no one was hurt.

It's a small world sometimes, we live in Elermore Vale!

Weather seems to have settled down now.
Unfortunately 5 people died in the flood, 3 in houses and 2 in cars.
Our thoughts and well wishes for them and their families.

Sure is a small world! We're visiting them at the end of the year - I've never been to Newcastle so I'm looking forward to it. Following that we're going up to visit Humperdinkel for a couple of days. Can't wait until the end of the year.

Stay safe - the pictures I've been seeing from Bondi, Maitland etc are just unbelievable. I've heard 8 dead now. Terrible
