My Streetfighter Inspiration and where I'm going with it

Well, at the rate I am going I figured I should go ahead and share with all of you what I am shooting for in my streetfighter conversion. At this point I am about halfway there and have most of the items I need to bring it home, however it seems to be slow going.

Here are the bikes that inspired me and set me off on the quest:
The Magpul Ronin (Inspired the rear end and exhaust that I will be striving for):

BMW Lo Rider (inspired the front end that I have almost Achieved):

My Photoshop FZ6 Fighter (Using the R1 Front End, an R6 Rear End, AMT-Distribution Radiator Shrouds, bobbed FZ6 Seat and a 2003 R6 Lower Cowel, I will be dumping the exhaust out of the bottom like the Magpul Ronin):

wow. i'm excited. this should be good. crazy you went through all that work to make your own cans to not use them anymore. or are you going to take them and modify them to work?



only downside of all this, i don't live close enough to beg all the parts off of you that you won't use anymore.

Looks like a great project....how will a fighter like that go in terms of legality???

As in a roadworthy certificate, etc....cause i know that in Oz, you would have a fairbit of grief from the boys in blue, if they caught you riding on the road, with a bike that is so heavily modified, especially at the rear of the bike.

I built the cans before I decided to go naked, so yeah they will no longer be needed, doesn't bum me out too much as I enjoy the journey as much as the destination :thumbup:

With regard to the discarded cans and parts, I figured I would try to sell whatever is left over to help offset some of the costs, unless of course there are members that may need something

Sorry to here the Aussie authorities are cramping creativity, I could just imagine some of the crazy stuff we would see if that weren't the case

I'm hoping it won't take too long to finish the build, I already have the R6 Swingarm, dogbones, and shock along with an R6 Header that I will cut the collector off of and mount the underbelly cans to. I have the belly pan I got from ebay, but I'm thinking about auctioning it off and getting a 98' - 03' R6 Lower Cowl like the one shown in the photoshop image.

The only fabrication I will need to do is the mounting points for the R6 Shock, bobbing the tail, mounting the underbelly cans and setting up my rear lights and signals. Unfortunately my bike is still in the shop and I will be gone on vacation from Aug 7th - 20th.

Then finish up with the paint scheme

Very interested in the R6 swingarm mod.....i have always thought of changing out my swingarm for a single sided unit.....
