Hi all,
I'm new to streetbikes but I've owned about 14 dirtbikes and dualsports. I guess it was time for a change so a couple days ago I bought a Red 2006 FZ6 that had only 3980 miles on it(thanks to whoever for breaking it in for me) and got it for $5500 out the door. It looks new to me and so far it's a blast riding it.
A few things I don't particularly like are the clunky shifting in the low gears and the clutch that has a small release point. I guess that comes with the territory. Or does it?
I love the power and the handling and the brakes and of course the looks of the bike and am looking forward to doing some fun rides real soon. It will be mostly a commuter(darn gas here in San Diego is about $4.50 a gallon now and only going to go up) but on the days off I will hit the twisties.
A couple questions: My bike came with Battlax tires but what's the stock brand and sizes?
Why no helmet lock? That's weird.
Mine didn't come with a manual. Is there a .pdf for it or where can I get a manual for cheap?
Anyway, you'll be hearing from me from time to time as I'm new to this whole street thing. I gotta learn to ride differently. I want to motocross it in the corners.
See you all on the street.
