That's lovely. I really like the full-fairing. When I get back to work, I'm seriously going to consider getting one for mine.

'08s are identical to '07s.... save colour... The full fairing is an add-on accessory you can buy for the '07 ~ models.....

The fairing is factory from Yamaha Canada. The turn signals are Lockhart Philips with adapter...so you can just plug it in to the factory plug. The power port I machined out of a stainless steel plate and the receptacle is marine grade from a boat store. I did not like the Yamaha block that was on the handlebars, so i bought the 06 clamps. It works better anyway for my GPS mount.:D

To each his own. Personally I prefer the 1/2 fairing on the stock FZ. I was worried about it impacting gas mileage at first but a test drive one of my other bikes (a Suzuki GS 500F) with and without the lower fairing was informative. I normally get 62 mpg on the GS. I got 65 mpg without lower fairing which I feel is within the margin of error given that it was only a 100 mile test. So at least for that instance the lower fairing did nothing to reduce wind resistance - or whatever benefit it provided was offset by the slightly increased weight. At present I am going to leave the GS lower off since I prefer the easier access to stuff - the GS lower is attached with 12 bolts! The 1/2 naked GS isn't as pretty as the FZ - but then - what is? :cheer:

Nevertheless - good looking ride!

I think the FZR is pretty much good looking no matter how you dress it up, that is one of the many fine points of the bike. That is interesting about the fuel economy effects you mentioned. Thanks for the compliments - everyone.:Flash:
