my 1st problem with the fz

and its a doozy!.... not really, but kinda strange. on one of my last longer rides the rubber weather stripping that goes over the speedometer display blew off! i looked online at microfiches and didnt see the rubber piece i need. anywhere besides the dealer i can get another piece (if i can even get it at the dealer, yamaha might want me to buy a new display) thanks

LOL! This one happened to me as well a couple months back. I was able to stop it before it came all the way off but kind of strange that it would happen. check this site for a replacement if the dealer won't do it for you - Yamaha Suzuki Polaris OEM Parts & Accessories - MotoSport Warehouse

I got mine at the dealer using this code: 4S82834700

But in Brazil. I guess it´s the same code. Btw, took a couple weeks and cost
around R$15 (~US$8)

It happened to me and I got a new one at the Dealer. It actually was pretty cheap for a Stealership. It was about $5-7, which is still a huge profit markup for a little piece of rubber.
