Hi!

I really love to ride bikes but the problem is I have sensitive ears that are prone to tinnitus. Just bought a pair of noise reduction ear plugs/ear piece and they do not fit well in my ears. I'm planning to get new ones but I'm torn between these two brands: https://www.bigearinc.com/products/motorcycle-ear-plugs/ and https://pinlock.com/products/earplugs/.

First one is a company that offers customized ear protection and the second one had good reviews online. The thing is...I think I have an uneven ear canal and I'm not sure if a pair of generic plugs would be very useful. I just hope you can help me decide what to buy.

P.S. I'm open to all your suggestions.

Thanks!

I use 3M disposable plugs. I don't have the quietest helmet out there but they work well.

3M brand NRR 32db. I think they come 80 to a box in orange and purple.

I'm not into music while I ride as I'd rather hear everything in the environment that could impact my life or those I ride with.

I use these the silicone ones from any pharmacy:

The foam ones I can never get to work right its always hit or miss. These you can form to your ear.

Im not sure if they are strong enough for what youre looking for but they work for me. Then I take them out of my ears and just mush them on top of my spedometer until the next ride.

Sorry man but leaving them on the speedo to use the next time out reminded me of an old song! Lol!

To the OP: What kind of helmet are you currently wearing? Perhaps you can try on some new helmets at a gear store; certain models have better noise reduction (although you'll be spending a lot more $ than if you find good ear-plugs)
