Sometimes it's just your day. (I have them frequently) Did'ja ever notice that you have days where every car on the road pulls out in front of you, nobody signals, the slowest car on the road is always in front of you, the fastest car on the road is always behind you, everyone wants to just run in the left lane, everybody comes at you on your side of the road, and at every light the driver in front of you obviously has a fascination for the color green? I just love these folks that slow down for green lights, in anticipation of a yellow and red one!
IMO: Traffic cameras are creating a strain of folks that are so overly cautious that they are dangerous to others. Just my opinion. Feel free to make it your's.

Dunno about anyone else, but in a potentially hazzardous situation, I'm on the horn to save my skin....don't care if it's Chuck Norris.

If I've well and truly got it covered and honking might actually make it worse then I leave it alone.

It's there as a hazzard warning device, not to show displeasure.

If you use it correctly, I'm fairly sure most people (including cops) will take it well. Aside from the occasional mongrel.

That might say it all, small narrow objects make it hard to estimate the speed that someone is going. Granted he obviously made a mistake, but you seem to admit to speeding anyway. I'm not saying that you're one of these, but there are a lot of terrible riders out there that seem to blame others for there poor habits. I've pulled up beside another rider at a red light and told him what a moron he was for stunting in and around traffic. After that he stopped doing it as seemed surprised another rider on a bike told him off. There may be some bad police officers, but I guarantee you, there are even more bad riders.

That pretty nice clip was approx. 7 mph over the posted 65, and I was getting passed on the left by cars doing much more than that. Had I been doing 65 it still would have caused me to break sooner and harder than if he had checked and stayed on the side of the road.

Aren't HOV lanes usually on the left side of the freeways here in the states? I don't think I ever came across one that was on the right.

Here in VA it is it's own lane separated from the main road by barriers. In the morning, traffic flows into DC. Then the same road is used to move traffic out of DC in the evening. The traffic pattern is reversed at some point in the day.

This happens in my care too - sometimes I wonder if somebody has fixed a big "PULL OUT" sign on the front!
