First of all, hello everyone again! I haven't posted or even lurked here in a while but I hope to do more so now that riding season is slowly making its way back. It's almost June which means my annual re-up of insurance so here's one of my famous(?) threads on rate premium comparisons. ENJOY!

(2015 Thread)
These quotes are for the second most basic level of insurance plus theft, which is what I've ran with since last year. Collision adds an additional $135 for any level of limits for Progressive (didn't check the others because honestly why bother when the victor was beyond clear this round). I also removed any of the insurance companies that required the added effort of contacting agents or having to wait for their agents to contact me...nope, I took the liberty of making the assumption that they would STILL not have competitive rates with Progressive and thus aren't worth my time haha....now on to business!

1- Progressive: $175 (Current, renewal)

2- Geico: $280

3- Rider: $363.53

4- Allstate: $397

5- Markel $603

Also if you're wondering what I meant by second level of most basic:

Bodily Injury & Property Damage Liability----------$25,000person/$50,000 accident/$10,000 property damage

Uninsured/ Underinsured Motorist Bodily Injury----------$15,000person/$30,000 accident

Pedestrian Personal Injury Protection----------$250,000(with $250 ded and 20% co-pay)

Medical Payments----------No coverage

Transport Trailer----------No coverage

Physical Damage Options----------No coverage

Comprehensive----------No coverage

Collision----------No coverage

Disappearing Deductibles----------No coverage

Uninsured/ Underinsured Motorist Property Damage----------$5,000 (with $500 deductible)

Roadside Assistance----------No coverage

Accessory Coverage----------$3000

In light of making this thread more useful I messed around with different coverage levels, check check it:

I pay 348 a year. Have commerce. I have one minor accident which shouldn't even count. I have 5 years of driving under my belt since 18 that's it. I've got full coverage with everything on it.

I just recently changed my FZ6 insurance coverage from Foremost to Progressive and save about $200. For some reason (no events!), Foremost increased my premium by about 100%! I was pleasantly surprised to discover HOW MUCH CHEAPER Progressive provides me with the same exact coverage. I have 100/300/100 with comprehensive, 5000 annual miles. $238 annual premium.

Now, I'm really in love with Flo, the familiar face on those entertaining TV commercial spots.

Flo is an expensive Ho in my state. Neither her nor Geico can compare to State Farm.

Allstate for me. Age 29, 3 years moto experience. Lost my license due to points accumulation right around high school graduation and haven't had a single ticket since I got it back.

Just paid $405.94 to Allstate which beats out State Farm (former carrier) and Geico by miles. State Farm wanted $1k+ for roughly the same coverage, Geico was no better.

I have 250/500/100 with an additional 250/500 UM add on.

I just sold the FZ6 actually, but through progressive I was paying $148 a year with $500 deductible for collision and comprehensive. No one else came close.

$121/year for basic liability through Progressive. I've been riding for 3 years with 1 not-at-fault accident.
When I got a quote for my Ninja 500 when I started riding at 20, Allstate and GEICO were quoting me like $300 a year for the same coverage. Progressive won in a landslide.
