The one, the only....the LoneSoldier has clocked his first 3,500km.

:Flash:

And to celebrate here are some snaps from the historic ride. Feel free to get tattooes with "Lone" or "LS" insignias on various parts of your body. Ladies, you hereby have my express written consent to use my likeness when getting your more "sensitive" regions tattoed.

1) Climbing up from hell itself to reach the machine...it stands awaiting its master:

2) Eager to take off, Fizzy nonetheless stands patiently awaiting to be mounted:

3) From the rider's perspective, he sees a great day of riding ahead:

4) From the corner-crazed motorcycle's perspective it only sees life one corner at a time, thinking to itself go go go! we go now? come, lets go! soon? go sir go! please sir let us go? go go go!

5) "Sorry Fizzy, the sign says we can't go there"

6) Replies Fizzy: "ARHGH give me knobbies!!! I can do it I promise!!!"

7) God Himself reaches out and blesses Fizzy:

8) Then God continues to smile upon Fizzy:

Okie dokie. Well after putting in more km in 3 weeks than the original owner put on in 2 years, I am feeling VERY close to this motorcycle. I had no idea a man could feel so attached to a machine. I got to thinking about that one day, and the phenomenon is really quite intriguing.

It all starts when you phase yourself into the motorcycle (some people call this "getting on the bike" but I think it's more accurate to say you are phasing yourself into the machine). When you "operate" a motorcycle it is more of a union of two entities than it is one operating the other. The sheer amount of controls on a motorcycle compared to a car is one
reason for this as the level of user input is so great it crosses the boundary from "operating" to "linking with". Add to this the nature of the relationship of the man in the act of riding the motorcycle and that union is given much more depth. Your body becomes another part of the motorcycle. Your weight is its weight. Your movement is its movement. Your eyes are its eyes. Your ears are its ears. Your adrenaline is its inspiration. Your fear is its timidity. Your experience is its wisdom. You give to the motorcycle your life-force and it is risen from the realm of machine into something greater.

This relationship is bi-directional though. The motorcycle gives you its speed. The motorcycle gives you its primal urges for you to mold. The motorcycle gives you itself, completely, and as a whole. It does not with-hold from you any part of itself. It gives itself to its master with a purity of spirit that exists far too rarely in this world of ours.

At some point in this mutual relationship of sharing and unity, something magical happens. As you phase yourself into the motorcycle, and the motorcycle gives itself to you, the boundaries of man and machine begin to blur. As you and the machine ride, these two entities become one. As your purity of love and passion rise in intensity, and as the machine serves as a pure, clean, and empty vessel......you imbue upon the machine a part of yourself. The motorcycle does not have a soul of its own. But as the most blessed of machines, it has been ordained by the heavens that this machine will be given a gift at some point in its life if united with its rightful rider. That gift is the soul of the rider becomes the soul of the machine in much the same way as a bacteria splits in two and becomes two living entities. The rider gives birth to the soul which he himself imbues in the machine, thereby giving the machine life and a soul of its own.

This process is not done intentionally. And it is not done artificially. It is a very natural process. When a rider feels the passion of riding the perfect machine for him very intensely, as the two ride together.....at some point there begins a bleeding process. The man's intense feelings of pure exhileration and freedom release his inner spirit. That inner spirit bleeds into the motorcycle in the same way a red-coloured dye bleeds into and soaks into clothing. The motorcycle is the object which absorbs this as no other machine can for the simple reason that the man and the machine are physically united in a perfect union which permits this bleeding process to take place so effortlessly.

That is why, after a long and intense ride, when the man is leaving his motorcycle in the garage.....he reaches out and strokes her gently, lovingly, passionately. He does not tell others he speaks to her, for fear of their labelling him a madman. But he loves this womachine in a very special way. It is a part of himself that he can look at and physically touch. It is the physical personification of the best part of his inner soul. It is a motorcycle.

Man you really love your bike! quite an entertaining read though, and whatever it is you smoke in your part of the World...i want some!

And this is why you shouldn't drink and post.....:iconbeer:

Glad to see that you're still riding your bike.

But not drinking and riding. I got teary eyed as your post spoke a lot of what I feel and experience with my bike. The loving touches on her fairing, the gentle touch of the seat. I really loved the, what a honda sees before it dies, that be speaks of a great sense of humor. You should design greeting cards or something, LOL

haha too awesome i love the replies all of em

i feel like dancing a little, haha.

i LOVE writing and have always used internet forums to express myself. Im a pretty quiet kind of person, man of VERY few words in person. Before I was on history and philosophy forums then moved into the SLIGHTLY more exciting world of motorcycling haha.

but ya, the reason 3500 is so epic is because I now have the majority km on the bike. previous owner had 3499 on it when he sold it to me. Oh btw it is now up to 3,800km

Cant wait to ride thru the rockies later this summer. and might do a track day as well if i can get some extra money, but i doubt it cuz if i wreck the bike i wont be able to afford to fix it i think ill wait till next year for track days.

oh and for my next epic post of 10k kilometres? I have already started work on that post. It will take the form of a thesis/encyclopedia. I am already up to page 1,262. JK :)

haha and ya last thing a honda sees before it dies is classic i love it. my favorite one is the one where god reaches out and blesses the bike one of the first ones i think. we have great skies in alberta.

apart from that, thanks everyone. As much as I enjoy riding in and of itself, sharing the experience is also amazing as it lets me relive the enjoyment of the ride. magic does exist.

*passes the BC bud to the next person*

wait

who's next in the rotation?

after

and it was the wowzers crash lol

bike was ok tho as it fell on my leg then slid out so just scratched up and cracked front fairing
