My throttle has gradually been getting harder to turn, and I finally started looking into it when it got slow in snapping back on release. I found that after putting on the FZ1 bar and Rizoma grips, I forgot to lube where the throttle tube slides over the bar.
After a bit of work with some 400 grit sandpaper and metal polish, it looks like a mirror. Before I put the grip back on, I gave the inside a generous helping of chain wax. Now that it's all back on, I've got the smoothest feeling throttle I've ever touched.
