Hi folks, new member here. I'm shopping for information on FZ6's after I decided I wanted to get another bike. I've had, in the past, a 82 Nighthawk 650, a 96 CBR 929, and a 94 CB 1000, but I've been without a bike for about two years now. Looking to get a new bike for commuting, and some weekend fun rides when I get back from the desert.

Dogmush, thank you for your service, and if you see my nephew Brandon, say hi, he just got to iraq. I love my fz6, if you like it sporty, but comfy too, fz6 is a good choice. The reliability is top notch, so if you are going to need it to get to work, its a good solid choice for commuting. if you are just going to go twisty road slaying, its a good choice too, its not a true sport bike, the suspension is soft-er than say a R6, but its not bad in my opinion. Touring is good, you can get side luggage hard cases or go cloth and the under seat exhaust doesn't burn em up. If you plan to have a pillion with you, thats no prob either, the bike is capable with 2 up riding. Good luck on your choice, there are a lot of good bikes out there. I dont know many bikes that deserve a fanatical following that the fz6 has, this web site is really good for mods, general info, riding tips etc, so enjoy it. Good luck in the desert dude.
