LFZ6's bike, let the mods begin.....

When I bought my bike in April it had about 14K miles. We knew it would need some maintenance, but once my husband got started on it he decided to do this mod and that mod to it. So, this is how it sits now with more to come soon. We first started with a complete service to include: Mobil 1 4T & Wix filter, replaced spark plugs, air filter, coolant flush and new thermostat, and throttle body sync after the installation of the Akrapovic exhaust system.

Next up is my FAZR6 swing arm decals, pink valve stem caps, rim tape, and Immortal Graphix tank protector. Had to girlie it up a bit. :cheer:

Next up is the FUZE BLOCK FZ1 power center so I can power all of my electronic goodies while I'm on my bike.

Now the Penske 8900 shock....sorry, didn't get a pick before the install...:spank:
The shock was custom ordered from Penske with the same eyelet to eyelet length as the OE shock with the Soupy's lowering link. So, my bike is now 1 1/4 inches lower for my vertically challenged self.

Nice! The Penske is a rockin' shock, and the cans are beautiful. Have you played with the front end yet?

When I did my forks with Race Tech my shock felt terrible, so I installed an Ohlins. Then the RT fork felt terrible so I installed an R6S fork, and I was happy. :thumbup:

Next up is the Givi Tanklock mount for my tank bag...

I almost forgot....While my husband was changing the spark plugs he installed a set of Graves block off plates. He pulled the pair solenoid completely out and there is no check engine light from it being unplugged.

Also installed is Omni-cruise throttle lock, Grip puppies, SW Motech risers using the OE Yamaha top cap, and a 3BR Powersports USB port.

It has the OE Yamaha touring screen.

He also performed the BD43 dual headlight mod with a twist. He installed an extra set of pins in the factory connector so it can be unplugged if needed to remove the front fairing.

Front forks are completely rebuilt with RaceTech 1.0 springs and emulators. Slingshot Racing adjustable preload caps installed. Forks were dropped 1 1/4 inches to even the ride height from the lowered rear shock.

Then, of course, I have my cross that is always on my bike...

Yes, on the next page. We had .95 installed and ended up ordering the 1.0 for it. Almost finished, then I will let you know what I think about them. Also going for a group ride in Arkansas in September, can't wait to get this bike there! Last year when we went on the ride I was on my 1994 Magna.

I had the adj caps on my stock forks before swapping to r6s forks. How do you like them?

If you are wanting to know about the technical end of liking them my husband loves them. He can make small adjustments to the pre-load without having to remove the fork caps and install washers. This is one of the only bikes we have ever had that did not have adjustable forks.

For those of you wanting to know if I like my suspension, well, after a nearly 1100 mile ride this last weekend I think I can truly say I LOVE IT!!!! We rode the twisties in the Ozarks, and for only my second time to those roads (the first time was on my 1994 Magna) I scuffed up quite a bit of my chicken strips. :blowkiss:I LOVE THIS BIKE!!!!
