Looking for some insight as to why my Leo Vince exhaust maybe discoloring.
I installed it with about 1,000 miles on the bike, currently have 2,000 miles on her. I haven't done any other mods like airbox/filter or Power Commander.
I was wondering if she's running too rich, but that seems impossible since the Leo's will flow better than the stock exhaust. Would a lean condition cause this discoloration?
Any thoughts/experiences appreciated.

might be due to the unburnt carbon?.

wanna take note that not all the petrol in our tanks burnt completely....

You should be able to remove the discoloration and get back the orignal look with good old fashion buffing..

I might be wrong but if your FZ6 is the newer model like 07 onwards,it cames with a O2 sensor that will auto tune to the right amount fuel needed.

Not sure if it's the same issue with mine, I've been using this product called tar remover and it did help to remove the brown stain at the tip of my pipes. you guys might wanna give a try... ;)

Nothing wrong with your "tune". It's competely normal that it changes color.
It's the same on my leo's and my bike is dyno tuned.
You can get rid of it with some metal polish and manlabor

That is normal gas burns dirty thats why it does that. Gas is not concidered a "clean fuel" because of the carbon and the other emission that gas releases when it burns. The only clean fuel that I know of is the different types of alcohol (methanol and ethonal). I have used wd-40 to remove it.
