KTM first with anti lowside abs

KTM ABS to work as an anti-lowside braking system on the 2014 KTM Adventure 1190R.

"The new braking system is the latest innovation from electronics giant Bosch and is called Motorcycle Stability Control (MSC) and it’s the first time ABS has been officially claimed to work while a bike is leant over in a corner"

I am guessing that the added input from a lean angle sensor to lower the activation threshold preventing even the slightest lockup of the front tire. We all know that tires can handle large forces but not sudden forces. So even the slightest momentary front lockup can start a low side.

Very cool idea. On the downside, like in automobiles, more software usually leads to less skilled operators.

Wow, thats all I can say. Sadly we will all pay through the nose until all the manufactures catch up. With MC fatalities still pretty high I am all in favour. Yes there will be a generation of riders who do not get to develop the same skills as the older gen. If they are safe whilst learning I am all for it.

All I can say is wow because I can't wrap my head around the bike not standing up as he's hard braking in the turn. Maybe it has to do with the suspension compressing and absorbing lateral forces? If so to what degree?
