Kmh to Mph....Again

Hi,
I know this have been discussed several times ago, but without a result. I've just moved to UK with my FZ6, bought in central Europe. That "hold select button for x seconds" trick obviously doesn't work for me. It's important for me, as I am not on one week vacation and it's quite uncomfortable to convert miles to kmh each time there is a speed restriction. I've read something about firmware change. Has anybody here succefully switched to MPG exluding the select button method?

Are you definitely on the odometer (total mileage) screen when you press and hold select?

also don't forget you may need to adjust your headlight so you don't dazzle people

The manual for 07+ does state that all you have to do is press "select" button and hold for at least 1 second.

This works only on mph to kmh, kmh speedo's cannot go to mph. No clue why, but that's the way it is

If you can't find an easy way to convert, try adding a piece of sticky tape to the inside of the windscreen, with the conversions for the speeds you are having trouble with.

One column in MPH, and the next in KPH.
