Does anyone have any experience with a K&N air filter for the FZ6?

(Does it help? Where did you get it? How much? etc.)

Thanks!

I installed one a few months ago, I think it sounds a bit deeper pitch. Runs great, when I installed it I did a bit of an air box mod with no regrets. I ordered mine on line and it came in a few days, I can't remember what I paid for it though.

Yep< installed myne few moth after buying the bike and the improvement is noticeable first: you get more response, second: it sounds deeper, third: i get 20 miles (32K) extrta of a full tank of gas, the filter believe it or not make the engine breath more therefore need less effort( petrol and throttle) TO GET THE SAME RESPONSE, and fourth: the lasting a lifetime!

It's a relatively cheap and very easy mod, so why not?! - that's what I figure. I will be getting one soon too. They seem to have the same effect as on a car - deeper sound. Personally, I think they are not worth while on a non-high performance vehicle because then it just makes them sound stupid. With an FZ6, they will add a little character. I have used a different bike, and to be honest, I didn't feel any performance difference. But as a user has stated, he got a bit better mileage which is well worth it then!

I got mine on line, better fuel consumption, sounds better and lasts a lifetime. Also really easy to install. would recommend it.
