Maybe I should go peek in the dumpster behind the local HD dealership. I'd put in a little effort to drag a couple of Buells out of there.

Most likely the development and test mules.... prototype frames, 'one off' engineering samples, RMA'd customer bikes.....

Stuff that could not be warrantied, that may have significant servicibility issues.

It's fooking horrible to look at; but it's far, far less liability for HD to destroy those bikes rather than take blame for them later.

And seriously, I would call a few friends, I'll get a truck from somewhere and I'll get a few of those bikes out of the dumpster at night. That's just a shame.

From another forum... no-one seems to know why these bikes ended up there, but the general thought is that they were demo bikes... or protos or whatever... A big "part out" would still be possible, but I guess it wasn't worth it to Harley... oh well.
