I just got back from my first ride on my Fizzer since before Thanksgiving. We've been having an absolutely miserable winter here in Northern Virgina. Not any significant snow, but just unrelenting cold and wind, definitely not motorcycling weather (for me, anyway). Today, however, the temperature is a toasty 47 degrees, so I unplugged the battery tender and fired up the bike. I kept the route local because I didn't have much time to devote to riding, but the short ride sure felt good. Who knows when the next opportunity to ride will present itself? I hate winter (except for skiing).

stop moaning flydoc, here in the UK we get the grey miserable weather but we don't get the chance to make up for it with any skiiing. When it does snow it comes as such a shock that the whole country comes to a standstill. Get some decent warm gear and get out there when it's cold, anything above a couple of degrees C, whatever that is in your funny fahrenheit, and it's OK to go our for a couple of hours. If we didn't go out in the wet and cold over here it wouldn't be worth having a bike

I was about to make a nearly identical post. Yesterday's rain, here in Maryland, washed away the layers of salt on the roads. The sun was out. I had the afternoon off from work. Even if it was only a 60 minute ride, I really needed that to clear out the cobwebs and escape the rat race for a bit.

Just this Monday, it was 75 degrees here in Vegas. Very dissapointing, this is our winter and I want winter weather. I want cold and wet weather during the winter. We get over 300 days of sunshine a year, I get tired of the sunshine.

I like riding in my rain gear and using my heated gear. It's fun!

Bad VEGASRIDER, Bad!!!

Don't taunt the poor souls who actually have to endure winter.

I got out on new years eve on a beautiful 50 degree day, it hasn't gotten over 35 or so since.

I second the above motion!
Weather must have been similar there in Indy to Michigan. I went out for a couple hours on new years despite the rain it was still 55 degrees F

conversion for Celsius to Fahrenheit is F=(1.80)C + 32 or for Fahrenheit to Celsius C= F-32/ 1.8

I will take the snow and ice and cold temps half of the year versus 110 plus degree temps all summer long......

Kenny that's why you want to go to Alaska. They probably get real rain there since you like the narley weather. LOL The weather has been crap here too. I just happened to pull my FZ out today after installing my new Leo Vince Exhaust on Saturday. I love the new pipes. :D I don't have any pictures yet but will post some. It's too cold to ride too long but did about 40 miles. The sun was out this afternoon. Any ride is a good one!

What can I say, I love Florida, even though the long summers are hard!!!! But I take it over all the snow of the northern states
