For $270 (including shipping) more you could get the Morimoto mini H1 projector kit from the retrofit source... I believe they have an angel eye option as well... I do order Chinese electronics from time to time, but I wouldn't want to go with an unknown/unproven brand when it comes to headlights

I'll second this - For a little bit more money you can get something that has a company standing behind it - that other forum members have gone with and have had great results. There's too much that can go wrong with one of these sets - for all I know it could be great and work well, I'd just go with the Morimotos from TRS.

Wouldn't I run into the problem of needed a H4 set and a H7 set ?

I actually emailed the retrofit source asking about installation when we have 2 types of bulb sizes, here is their reply;

Thanks for your email and for your patience waiting on a reply, we're
working through our busiest time of year and it takes a while to get
through all of our emails while still offering the personal service
we're well known for.

Anyways, having worked with tons of FZ6 owners over the years, we can
definitely recommend a solid setup for your retrofit. To start, since
the headlights on your Yamaha are relatively small - size is really our
most important consideration. For that reason, I'm recommending the
Morimoto Mini H1 setup since it's based on the smallest projector we
offer. The Morimoto Mini projectors offer the best mix of performance
vs. ease of installation since they generally require the least amount
of modification to be installed. They have a threaded mounting shaft
that will fit through the existing hole in the back of your headlight
reflector (where the light bulb comes through now) and locks on with the
included hardware. If you've got 4.5" of depth inside your headlight
buckets, you're good to go.

Bi-Xenon Morimoto Mini H1 Stage II Kit:
Bi-xenon Morimoto Mini Stage III Kit (H1) - Complete Retrofit Kits from The Retrofit Source Inc.
Mini H1 6.0 Bi-Xenon projectors (LHD)
Morimoto 3Five ballasts
Morimoto 3Five bulbs
H4 Dual Output Motorcycle relay harness
High Beam Splitters (by request)
Bi-Xenon Monograms (by request only)
Mini Gatling shrouds (smallest ones we offer)

Starting at $270 shipped

The system comes standard with our most popular Morimoto 3Five ballasts
which put out an industry-standard 35w to give you about 3000 lumens per
headlight (approx 3x your stock halogens). They've also got longer than
average outputs to the bulbs that are wrapped in protective mesh, are
completely sealed against moisture, have an integrated igniter, a slim
design, and a small overall footprint; all characteristics that make
them ideal for a retrofit on a bike.

Looking at the bulb options, you'll see nothing above 6000K since any
Kelvin beyond that sacrifices too much light in exchange for more color.
We're more focused on performance vs looks here. As you move up the K
range, you're getting more color but less intensity from the bulb. All
vehicles with factory installed HID's run the brightest 4300K bulbs,
giving you a warm white light. 5000K sacrifices a tiny bit of intensity
but gives you a pure white light to enhance contrast. 6000K is still
mostly white, but with a slight tinge of blue to it. Alternately, 3000K
bulbs are super yellow, we really just recommend those for use in fog
lights.

The optional XB35 bulbs offer a few other notable differences:

- The XB35 has a proprietary halide salt mixture that ensures higher
luminosity, the highest degree of Kelvin (color) accuracy, and an
OEM-like life span.
- In addition to the standard silicone cover on the wiring of the 3Five
bulbs, the XB35 have a nylon mesh weave to ensure the best shielding.

I recommended some shrouds for you in the parts listed above - but we
basically just recommend picking these based on looks and the geometry
of your housings. You can see what all the options look like here:

If your headlights are any shallower than about 4.5" of depth, you'll
need to cut and modify the reflectors to drop the projectors further in
them, such as in this video (and others on the same channel):
[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b4ZUZbfC9Ik]TRS Tips: Modifying Headlight Reflectors to House Projectors - YouTube[/ame]. If you do have 4.5" or more
of depth inside the headlight, you'll follow an installation procedure
such as this: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2O2486djbjk]TRS Tips: Morimoto Mini H1 6.0 Bi-xenon Retrofit Guide - YouTube[/ame].

better visual on all this stuff:

If the install itself is something you're not comfortable with or prefer
a professional to install it, we have a network of independent
installers countrywide:

Since this was a lot of information to digest, if you have any other
questions feel free to reply back and we'll be glad to help out. You can
also hit us up via Live Chat during store hours for any quick questions.

Thanks again,

Mark @ TRS

I am wanting to install some HID's too. I was thinking the 35w ones but I see they come in 2.5", 2.8" and 3" not sure what size to get. Any input on what size?

A friend just ordered these:
2 5" Motorcycle Bi Xenon HID Kit Angel Eye Devil Eye Projector Lens Ballast | eBay

I was thinking of getting the same and we will do the mod together. Is that a good one to get? Will they work says works with both h4 and h7 but never done this before.

Thanks in advance.

I know that kit seems really inexpensive... but I would think its at the cost of quality, you are getting a Chinese special right there... you will get zero support from them, and you could be stuck with non functioning headlights, you will have to re-bake open if something breaks or isn't working properly once its all back together.

...regarding fit, so some measuring of your headlight bucket and see what would fit best, the email I posted above says projectors from TRFS need 4.5" of depth and many people here have used those so that should give you some info as to how much depth you can play with
