iOS Gps Solution Troubles...

So I've spent 2 days now trying to find a GPS app with which I (well for a friend, but I'd love to know too) can upload a KML or GPX file and get turn by turn directions. I don't mind paying a few bucks, but I also don't want to throw money away just to see the app doesn't do what I want. Does anyone have any suggestions? I've tried Rever (which breaks a gpx into many pieces and makes impossible to follow), EasyTrails, which refuses to guide until you're 'closer' to the location, and MotoMap, which only shows the map but has no guidance. Am I missing something obvious?
