Sand paper and can of primer and black paint can take care of the fender 
advice is to avoid bar end mirrors that use the aluminum expanding wedge, they suck, look for the ones that use compressed rubber. I ended up using the rubber wedge from old bar ends to mount mirrors on one of my other bikes after the alum things kept sliding around.
