I'd guess much of the basic layout is the same between the R6 an FZ6 so here are some pictures of the internals (I'm still green so forgive me if I'm mistaken on this).

For those of you running just water and wetter in the cooling system there is nice rusty water pump from not having corrosion inhibitors in the system too!

PS - can you take a good hi res photo of the problem area? I'd be tempted to grind it back before opening the box! But that's assuming it allot (like just the outer edge is messed up). . .

Wow,,,I could tell whoever ride the bike and take the time, effort to rebuild like that...that person is addictive or even obsessed to the bike he's owned .. put a side $$$ , time and effort to complete that project are really really applauded. This bike must have been built much better than the manufacturer of its own 100% much better I guaranteed!

I really admire whoever's done/doing this although I like bike, mechanics but I wouldn't spend much time, power and effort to do this such of work. It's shown a lot of dedication of this gentleman investing lots and lots into the motorcycle..

Was it anyone in this forum? I would suggest he goes to work for motorcycle R/D , testing and/or QC department such Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki...etc they all have offices around in U.S and the world!

I take my hat off and would say you are the man of the job!
