Idle Speed?

Looking for proper idle speed for my '06 FX6V(C)

That's what I thought it should be. Mine is idling at 2,000.

I had mine set to 1100 for a while. Liked the quieter purr/less vibrations. However, sitting in traffic as long as I do with two headlights, I need all the juice I can get out of the stator. Back to 1250.

^^ Yep, history as in what changed and when? Although you could adjust the idle speed, often times you there's an underlying issue that should addressed, hence the link to the vacuum leak thread.

Increased IDLE SPEED **usually** means the engine is GETTING MORE AIR from another source. A vacuum leak give it more air and raises the RPM. In 95% of all cases, this is the case.

Pull the seat, pull the tank and inspect all of the hoses and the base of the throttle bodies. There are 4 clamps down there. If one is sucking air, it could explain this. 4mm allan cap.
