I been on the DownLow

Congrats on the new bike! I love the R1, it is beauty and power in the same package.

However, with my skill level, or lack their of, it scares the hell out of me

Nice ride Cliff! Congrats and kudos! I wish my aging body could handle the ergos of one of those.

Thanks man and actually my body can't handle  it but but when I'm in those turns the pain goes away! Hahaha!:D

Uh. Congrats. Uh, I'm jealous -- no I'm not -- yes, I am, -- no I'm not :D.

The liter bikes are monsters -- I hope you tame yours well. From what I've read, you got a fantastic machine.

I really want a super sport but fight almost every day to keep from buying/trading for it. Perhaps next year, perhaps not. Until then, I will drool over your adjustable suspension front and rear and all those ponies sitting below you .

Enjoy the heck out of it and stay safe.

Dennis

Thank you Dennis!

From what I've experienced of it, it's a fun machine. Have to get tires for it though.....

Yeah it's almost time for you to ride your new steed! The FZ6 is a sport bike! Okay.... you can tour with it but that bike is a sport bike. Thrashing on the R1 for 200+ miles has it's price. Yes! I love the new bike but will miss my FZ.

Oh yeah! I'm gonna go crazy as soon as the roads are dry, lol. I still wouldn't call the FZ a sport bike though.. It's a sporty naked/semi naked:BLAA: Several hundred miles probably takes a toll on you.. I'm thinking of getting some convertibars for longer trips, but I'm gonna wait and see how it feels when I get used to the bike first.

I'm serious! The Fz6 is an awesome design. I did minimal mods to it for performance.Dyno'd, PClll, K&N, Two Bros. and a Matris steering stabilizer. That bike was with very fast supersports including liter bikes for many rides(in the fast group). It always made me proud. I always returned home very satisfied with what I had accomplished and learned.
Can't wait for this new bike to be broken in.

Yeah..... right! Don't let David or John fool you guys. Both those effers are fast! Hahaha!

I can vouch for that... I learned my lesson to not try to keep up with them anymore. Congrats on the new bike Cliff... would like to see it in action sometime.

Damn nice bike! Those 08-09 models are pure sex

Wish I had the skills, appropriate height and finances to get one of them :)

Wish you thousands of happy and thrilling miles :iconbeer:

Thanks Rob,

Can you get out on the 13th with us? We have a ride planned and Westgoingzax (Alex) is heading it up.

Thank you Zmeiaspas,

I'm 5'8" Haha! and yeah that seat is tall for me but it's the time my feet are on those pegs that I'm interested in. I'm not anything special as far as skills. I just keep chasing Cali rider and Wavex! Hahaha!

Remind me as the time gets closer as my call schedule has a tendency to flux, but as of right now I should be in!

ohhh that's right! The group ride is on the 13th... I most likely won't be able to make that since I want to ride next wkd... I haven't ridden in 3 weeks and I am starting to loose my mind... Cliff, you're in for next Sat. too right? We want to do Palo and Montezuma as usual :)

I'll have the 2 cameras to get some footage of your new monster toy :D

Sorry to get in so late mate. Just got back from Phillip Island.

WOOT! Sweet ride dude! You're gonna love that monster...lol...wait and see what happens when you get stuck in at higher revs once you've played the running in game:eek::rockon::rockon::rockon:. The taller 1st gear was one of the first things I noticed about the FZ1...lol...126km/h / 78mi/h. Then 176km/h / 109mi/h in second and I imagine with the extra revs available the R1 will be more:D:rockon:.

As for the Sportmax POS tires....lol...give 'em the boot before they make a mess of you and your machine. I've ridden a ZR7 and an FZ1 now with those horrors on there and they are disgraceful IMHO. And be especially careful in the wet as I found them to be especially slick on wet roads.

I too am jealous that I'm too old and fat to "hump the turtle" but not so jealous that I'm not awesomely happy for you:cheer:.

I hope it gives you many years of balltearing fun:BLAA:

Cheers
Mike
