Can anyone help explain how to drain the carburetors on a 2007 fz6? I've been searching the forums and can't find anything that explains how to do this. Pictures would be a great help

where are those damn carburetors...
The FZ6 is fuel injected, meaning there are no carbs. :Flash:
What is up? Did you get a bike with old fuel in it or something?

Yep mate, it's fuel injected 
I haven't even had a car with carbys since my V8 Calais - VL series - and I sold her about 12 years ago.....
Maybe you should post a pic of what you've got - you obviously calling something else the carbys

The carbs are hidden inside the rear tire. This helps with keeping the weight low. You have pop your tire to get to them.

My bad I assumed they were there from reading some other posts about winterizing the fz6.
Is there anything else you would do besides:
- fill tank and add fuel stabilizer
- change oil
- remove battery
- fill tires with appropriate air pressure
- lube chain

I like to fog the engine a bit with storage spray, like is commonly done with outboard motors,
also I'd run the engine for about 5 minutes to get that stabilizer into the fuel system

How long is this storage period?? Mine sat for over year while I deployed, and when I came back I hit the starter button and it started and sounded perfect. I did no preps because I didn't know it would be there that long. Disclaimer: it was very low milage then (2k miles), and I was in San Diego in nice weather and it sat in a garage the whole time.
