So I did a search on this and didn't find anything. The question is How much have you spent total on your FZ6? mods, bike, tires, oils, est. no maintenance costs (cause they differ to much). list your items with a price next to it and a total under it all. Just something fun to see what everyone likes to spend on there stuff. I hope this becomes a sticky later on . I guess I'll start

I've pretty much gotten all my mods for free since I have put Regular fuel ( recommended in the owners manual) rather than Premium which is about .30 higher for my entire 75,000 miles.

Yeah, an extra dollar or more per fillups isn't enough to break the bank but just think how much you would save over a long period of time? In my case, it has.

07 FZ6 - $6800 (purchased new)

I installed two 12v power adapters at $50 each
HID Lights - $210 with install

Purchased heated gear. $107 for the troller, $120 for the gloves and $160 for the jacket liner.

I put on 12k-15,000 miles per season. I change the oil every 2k. I consider tires to be maintenance items. For 2011 I went through 2 fronts and 3 rear Q2 tires before changing over to Pilot Road 2s which I like a lot better. Same confidence feeling and 4x the mileage.

Sheepskin seat cover, custom made for the bike - $160 - Quite comfy!
I have a lot of bags. Saddle bags were $70. I have 2 tank bags (Joe Rocket Manta and Manta XL) that were $50 and $60 respectively.

I picked up a used Axio hard tail bag on craigslist for $60. Fits my ipad in it's defender case. Also good for taking along a sandwich, snacks, tools, ect.

The few mods that I do are for functionality. I think the bike is pretty good the way it comes stock.

In the future I might add some auxiliary LED lights.

1. 2008 FZ6 with around 5K miles, travel bag, battery tender, CF frame sliders, HyperWhite headlight bulbs, and FE kit: $4200
2. Two Bros CF exhaust off eBay: $500
3. VS-02 kit: $325
4. PowerBronze belly pan: $148
5. Rear smoked turn signals: $35
6. MotoGiro H4 Relay mod: $40

Grand total of $5248. I plan to get a new set of mirrors and an FZ1 bar this season, so that will be a little bit more, but nothing crazy.

I just got my FZ6…2006 Model for $3,500, plus tax and tag.

It came with Givi mounting (sides and top) and V35 side cases which are nice; no top case, but I have an E26N top box that I can put on it. I think I’d like to get the Givi Engine Guards (around $170) and a decent tank bag (say $100). I sorta feel like I need to do something about the blinkers as they seem a little out of place, but I’m not sure. Otherwise, I think we ride it. So maybe I can pull through this in the short term at $3,770.

Oh, and the prior owner put that psychedelic tank pad on there, not me. :)
