Sigh, not many 2009 new bikes left in my area. $5200 sounds awesome, I couldn't even get a dealer to counter-offer on $5700. They stood firm on their $6790 + $400-500 in fees. Hell there was one selling a 2008 with 3000 miles or so for $5600 and they also would not budge.

I'm hoping they still have the new 2009 in a few months and are much more willing to deal at the end of the season.

I got my brand new black 09 FZ6 in April for $5800. That included front door delivery from central PA to my home in northeast NJ. =)

First bike bought 5 days ago, 2005 FZ6-ST with 10,600 miles. It cost me $2200 from the owner plus $236 for new tag and taxes so $2436 altogether.

Wow, you got a great deal!!! Was there something wrong with the bike? How did you get it so cheap? Great job, wish I could of made that good of a deal!!!!!!!

I had found a dealer that was willing to sell a new one for $6300 which from what I can tell was invoice price in 2009, but still seemed too high to me, so i continued to check dealers and craigslist.

Last week I bought a 2009 with ~7,000 miles, Top Sellerie seat, and Givi V35 side cases, $4800. Some photos after a good wash.

Well, here in Sacramento Ca. - land of few dealers, and at the time, even fewer bikes, I managed to get a new leftover '09 OTD for $7800.
I believe the list was about $7299, and tax is 8.75%, along with DMV registration, etc.
I might have been able to squeeze it down a bit more, but I didn't want to lose out on the bike.
I don't think there were many (if any) left, and I didn't like the newer '10 "R" model. It was heavier, more top heavy, less power......
No contest
