I bought the FG-17 this year and so far I absolutely love it. The top vents work so well that I feel the air flow the moment I open them and when I open the chin vents I get a huge blast of air right on the face shield that takes any fogging away instantly.

I do like the sun shade option on this one though. Definitely more comfortable than sunglasses.

I have the is-17 and its a great helmet although it is the 1st and only helmet i have had. The sun visor is a nice option but i find it isn't quite dark enough on bright sunny days so have ended up wearing my sunglasses anyway!

I love mine. Not had any ventilation issues, except the odd dead bug getting through the top vent. Chin curtain and pinlock came as standard on mine, must be a US marketing issue. It's comfortable with glasses on, and the sun visor fits over my glasses easily. The sun visor isn't the most smoked of screens, but is perfect for night shifts when I'm riding west into sunset and east into the sunrise.

I have had issues with the visor being a bit soft: during heavy rain, if I use the visor wipe on my gloves, the pressure on the visor seems to morf it out of contact with the top seal letting water run down the inside of the visor, and the visor seems to scratch really easily. I'm on my second in six months, and considering another replacement.
