My name is Todd and I live in Temecula, California, USA. I accidentally (sort of) bought my brand new (never sold, no miles) 2006 fz-6 last week when the bike i had purchased 5 days earlier, a harley 883 sportster, turned out to be the biggest piece of "garbaggio" i had ever ridden. I had the harley for 5 days just riding around on the streets, which was fine, at 45mph,..but when I took that som'bitch on the freeway at 70, i nearly pooped my pants at how shaky, slow, and loud(screamin eagle pipes) it was. So i pulled off the highway to turn around and go home, and lo and behold there was a yamaha dealer right there on the corner.
I walked right in and told him I had a free and clear bike to trade, and he said he could make a awesome deal on a new unsold , never ridden FZ-6.
the numbers worked, and i rode it home 2 hours later!!:rockon:
these are awesome and fun bikes, but does anyone know where i can get a "sissy bar/ backrest for my 11 y/o daughter that likes to ride with me?? i found corbin makes a seat/ backrest but its like $700 for the pair and that is waaaay too much money!!
