Welcome and congrats on the bike, try pre-loading the shifter from first to second, it helps a lot. other than that

First off, GREAT choise of bike, color, and year! :thumbup: Yes, red is sexier, and now 2 years out of production soon to become the stuff of legend
The gearing through 1st and 2nd is pretty sharp, and the clutch is very tight. Takes getting used to, which I am not yet and will need a lot more time to get smooth.
I dig that lower fairing too...and those black painted cans are awesome!
