Helmet "lockers" in Paris

Came across this on another (French) website:

Not sure if I would do it as your helmet is exposed to anyone who wants to damage it, but it would be a good idea if in a reception area or where someone can keep an eye on it.

Interesting idea, could work well like you say in a reception area of a event, save having to check it into a cloakroom where they normally get stored on the floor.
Though security wise, a crowbar would make short work of them locks by the look of it if someone wasn't nearby keeping an eye on them.

Apparently it's also so that it can be checked for bombs, as opposed to closed lockers.
