Headlight problem

I did not like the stock headlights on my bike so I installed the halo projector lights so both headlights would be on. These headlights have been nothing short of a nightmare since day one. Because of what I had to do to install these lights I need to get new headlight assembly. The lenses reflectors wiring harness etc.

What I want to do is make it so I have the H4 bulb on both sides, and both on at the same time. Plus denali d2's

Can I change the H7 socket to an H4 socket? Any advise would be appreachiated!

I think someone did a socket mod a long while back but the reflectors are not really designed for the configuration you're talking about. What kind of problem are you having with your projectors? Are they the type that have the shutter for hi and lo beam?

the H4 and H7 sockets are molded into the individual reflector assemblies, there is no way to make an H7 socket into and H4 socket without some serious modifications, installing projectors is easier than what that would take to do!

What kind of projectors did you use? If you are having problems with them you are doing it wrong or used the wrong projectors. If you used these it is a piece of cake and these perform 5 times better than the stock lights.

Right now one light is half on, the other is fully on, but high and low don't work, its stuck on one setting....I got them from sportbikelights.com. but I just don't trust the whole ballast or the bulbs anymore for the amount of miless that I put on....i like the idea of halogens in the sense that any auto parts store would have a spare.

What about the fz1 lens's I know those are two H4's that are on full time?

If done correctly with HID projectors you will have 2 separate systems so if one goes out you would still have full use of the other bi-xenon projector.

Newer ballasts and HID bulbs are very durable. The HID ballasts and bulbs on my bike were from a 2007 Lexus and I have put 15,000 riding miles and 6 years with them running on my FZ6 with zero problems. Halogens have a shorter life span and are effected by vibration and impacts, HID are not.

what youre saying you want to go back to halogen and put two h4s?
you can mod the h4 bulb to fit into the h7 side

Seriously, just go the HID projector route. There isn't even a comparison between halogen and HID.

How much of a pain is it to modify the H7 to fit into the H4? And I undersand that there is no comparison between halogen and HID, but with all the issues I've had with these and the rats nest of wires under my fairings I don't trust them......I would probaby be better off going with another company.
