Ok, i'm going to run a idea by everyone and would like some input. I am deciding whether or not to cut off the grab bars at the rear of the bike that the pillion uses. I don't carry people and to smooth out the rear i was thinking of cutting them off smoothing it out and repainting, does anyone have any suggestions. The part that the bars connect to will still remain its just the bars being cut off.

I have though about this before also, because my g/f doesn't even like to use the grab rails..... I dont think they are hollow (when I wrecked my bike I broke one so I can find out for sure) but try it and let us know.... I hope your fiberglass skills are up to par!

nope mine certainly wernt hollow when i snapped one off.
i ground the sharp bits off to have no handles and it looks sweet. i have a white fz6n so i painted it white and have had many comments on it. i didnt fill the holes in the most forward end but it kinda looks like it should be that way. i didnt use the correct paint tho so it scratches off easy. when i can have time not riding it i will re paint it.

I thought about doing that at one time, I think if done right it would look sweet.
I would look for a damaged one on Ebay and save your good one incase it didn't turn out to your liking.
