Goop's future bike?

Excellent choice! Just ride it before you buy it. I loved a lot of things about it, but several things turned me off (bar vibration and transmission wouldn't shift into neutral when standing still.. but this may have been an isolated issue with the demo bike I rode).

Yeah, this was a problem with a lot of the 2009 and was found to be one of the shift linkages. There was a TSB about it. Mine hasn't been much of a problem, so I'll wait until Spring to get it done. Only about an hour job.

Towards the end of this year I'll seriously consider a S3. I would have to sell my FZ6 first. Probably will be better for wheeling and dealing near the end of the year anyway. The special edition would be cool to own, but I'm not like "OMG I GOTTA HAVE IT!"

And there's nothing wrong with the FZ6 that I proudly own now! It's bitchin.

That was my comment to the sales guy...BUT...here's the scoop. It is actually labeled as 2011. It is a 2010 frame and engine with a few upgrades and the two-tone paint.

Sounds like a bit of creative marketing to me...Triumph must have a few bikes lying about the place, that they need to move...all power to them, i am sure it is a great bike...but it needs the new "bug" headlights to make it a "true" 2011 model IMHO....

I like that bike too! Checked it out at the Motorcycle show. If you're tall, this bike doesn't feel so good. It's small. When I sat on the S3 it felt like it better suited my 6' 3" height.

Well in that case, maybe I'll go look at that Honda with my 30" inseam :thumbup: This was the biggest problem I had with the last Speed Triple. The wide frame near the tank made it hard to reach the ground. The new frame is much more narrow, resolving this problem.
