I found some Alpinestars S-MX 5 for sale boots on kijiji so I went to sheck them out. They were basically new...ridden twice. They were my size and fit pretty good, so I made an offer. He took it, and I rode them home to see how they felt. Nice boots.

When I got home I had a closer look at them and realized they are S-MX R boots, not S-MX 5! I basically got them for 1/2 price.

Sounds like you got a real bargain there! I also have the SMXR boots, best boots I've ever worn!

One thing I found with them is that, despite the correct size, they are a bit loose aroung the ankle. I have some JR boots also that have a buckle over the front part of the ankle that keeps them snug, but these have no adjustment there, only at the calf. Still, great boots.
