god dang ebay fleabay sh!t breaks

buy japanese! china, hong kong, u.s., all that stuff is cheap! it almost makes me sad to say (almost), but some of the best stuff in the WORLD is made in japan. our stuff is getting as bad as china.

Actually American made stuff isn't bad in terms of quality. The problem is trying to find something actually made in America. I think at this point all were are doing is some very specialized machinery that is made in America all the cheap **** is made in China.

Ever tried finding some American made tools in you local Home Depot? I stopped buying any tools from that place. Just yesterday, I tried to screw in a (American made) bolt. the damn screw driver actually stripped because of the low quality steel it was made from.

Anyway, can you list some Japanese manufacturers of blinkers or some other accessories? I really don't know any.

I hear what your saying but the other way to look at it is, If you drop the bike the indicators are going to get scuffed. $50 to replace one might be a bargain?

Personally I cannot justify spending :eek:$200 for a set. Off course they are not worth the money and if they were not selling them they wouldn't be so expensive.

Anything mass produced using poor materials is going to be crap, I don't think China necessarily has the monopoly on that.

Not looks alone, but well made too. But they are made much better than the cheapies. I don't put cheap things on my bike - I can't always afford it so sometimes I have to wait. Sometimes it's a LONG wait. Worth it in the long run :)

I have levers, grips, and bar end mirrors all from the2wheels. I haven't had any issues with them, and think the overall quality is good. I think others have said the black will fade if it sits in the sun, though my bike is almost always garaged at home or at work. So no problems with me so far!

These here are 21W, and I read good reviews on them. They are not as sexy Rizoma's but I am not going to pay $200 for a set of blinkers.

Those are halogen incandescent type lamps. LEDs will only draw a few watts in comparison. You can find decent LEDs that are bright and functional.

I went to Cycle Gear and got these. They were 30 dollars a set. They are cheaply made but have held up great for a year and they are bright. You can buy cheaper LEDs units that work well but you have to bring a 12-14 VDC battery with you and test them right there in the store. To be honest they are selling a lot of garbage out there that should not be legal on bikes so go to a store and test them!

I splurged out and got Kellerman's micro leds.

front and back $160. I get just sick thinking about how much I spent.

I will go to cyclegear and check out the ones you mentioned. In anycase I can always return the kellermans. At least the good thing is I got 50% off on the kellermans.
