I ordered some turn signals from Honk Kong (obviously) in November I think.

They look exactly like Rizoma 11s. I was pretty happy with them. They looked pretty sturdy and not like cheap Chinese stuff you can get.

I installed these and what do you know? One of the indicators doesn't flash. i bet it's a led bulb, but of course you can't open it up and replace it since all of it seems glued together permanently.

Lesson learned.

$40 wasted

I shouldn't have been such a cheapo and gotten myself Rizoma from the start. I wish they weren't that expensive though. $50 per one indicator? Who the hell sells these individually?
 
Hey man that sounds like a familiar story. I am not going to get all gung ho buy american on ya.. I like a good deal as much as you do and it is a free market global economy.

with that said I have probably less than a 50% sucess rate with China sellers on Ebay. Most recently I ordered some .99 connectors that just never got here. He apologizes profusely and sends another set out. still not received. but was given a full refund. (I know just .99 but principle). Other china sellers have bent over backwards when the S h ! t quality stuff they sent was totally unacceptable to me and let them know it. easy refund.

Then there's the whole HID industry which to my knowledge only has stuff manufactured on the China mainland. Correct me if anyone knows differently. All the HID stuff I have ordered (2 sets of HID reflector bulbs, 35 watt ballasts, 55watt ballasts, projector knockoffs, morimoto projectors and projector bulbs and spare projector bulbs).. all made in China and all great quality.

I think if you yell loud enough this seller will refund your $. Feedback is everything to these guys. Tell him you will advertise how crappy his products are on this forum. betting you will get a refund

Ohh I know, I get very positive customer service from these guys.

I just don't feel like I should even have this problem.

I understand that rizoma's are a premium product.

Cost of materials, manufacturing, marketing doesn't equalize in a $50 per a single indicator.

Ia m just tired of playing this game and sending back stuff to the other side of the world just to have pretty much the same chance of getting a faulty product again. Frustrating.
 
So who wants to be the guinea pig and test these out?


Cheap Chinese Pazoma indicators lol

They look like the real Rizomas, but I don't know if I would want to risk $40. I paid for mine $20

Ohh and and these are a 2nd set of indicators I bought from ebay. First ones are flimsy as hell. Look super ugly too.

Yup, I am already getting the itch. Today weather was pretty nice. I so wanted to ride it instead of installing the indicators.

I have also managed to install heated grips. Just in time for the season lol. I guess I will have to wait until next winter to test them out.
 
I have real Rizomas and yes, I paid nearly $200 for the full set. They are the brightest, most elegant looking signals I have ever seen on a bike. Even the hue of the orange is unique to Rizomas and unmatched by any cheaper LED signals. I have seen maybe one or two other bikes with Rizomas on the road. I can tell because they do look so unique.

Best of all I've had them for a year and 10K miles and not a single issue yet. I plan to keep them and reinstall the stock signals if I ever change bikes.
 
It's a real biatch but a lot of the time, you pay for what you get :(

Hey, you could have been lucky and for a bargain price you could have had a great deal.
 
China crap is China crap. I avoid things made in China.

I will admit they sure can make it look like the real thing, but it's not.

I know. I just find it hard to justify $200 purchase for looks alone.

I might just go back to stock ones. I just find it hard to lie to myself to justify $200 of my hard earned money to be spent on damn blinkers.
 
Anyone have recent experience with these guys (14x LED Turn Signals x 2). My fender eliminator came with some cheapo signals that I am just not impressed with and like the idea of incorporating these with my integrated tail light. But I'd rather avoid being a guinea pig with these guys if someone has already dealt with them.

How much is your time worth?

I always look at spending the extra money that will prevent me from wasting time as being money well spent. I hate time wasted (unless I elect to waste time on my own). How many trips to UPS are worth it? How much fun is it to put the time into an install and it doesn't work. $200 is worth an hour of my time, but everyone has to answer that on their own.

If you don't want to put in the money, then don't. I bought cheap US made LED lights. They are cheap and I'm only keeping them on my bike because I'm going for an edgy streetfighter look.

You see the opportunity cost for me is cheap. I am unemployed, between looking for a job and doing some admin errands for my folks I have a lot of time.

Trust me, had I have a job my opportunity cost would be different. Hopefully I will dazzle everybody on my interview on Thursday and I will be raking in money. lol

Obviously I don't want to keep replacing the indicators. It's not like the first Chinese ones broke or didn't work, it's just they are fugly as hell and I hate LEDs. I am looking for regular turn signals.

You can get Yamaha replacement turn signals from a scrap yard for between 10-20 a piece. I think new OEM is 60.
 
i like the official yamaha led signals. they cost 110 euro for a set of 4 (should translate to roughly about 130 -140 dollars) from the yammi dealer and come with everything you need to attach them - blanking plates, resistors and even cable ties. they are very bright too
 
I put these on my bike's fender elimin and they work great. Motorcycle LED Turn Signals Blinker Flasher Bike Black Smoke Lens | eBay

Bright and visible from most directions. They look quality and come with bullet quick disconnect already installed. Just like the Rizomas come with. I had rizomas, and I still think $50 or more per indicator is beyond reason. They're nice, but not $50 for $1.50 worth of materials nice.

can you get those in the US? Does anyone have a source? I may want to have an upgrade in the future
