I like the performance of the Galfers but you would get that with any SS line.

Can't recommend the Galfer since the fit isn't quite right.

Both front lines are exactly the same length in reality they should be slightly different for a factory fit.

Just took some fanagling to get them installed but I wasn't that happy with them when installing.

Glad I did this for sure though.

I've used Goodridge and most recently, I've put Spiegler on a couple of bikes. Both work well. Spiegler is a local company to me. They make a great product and their customer support is second to none. Check out: Spiegler Brake Lines | Spiegler Stainless Steel Brake Lines | Spiegler Brakes
They also have a link to a video on ss brake lines, but I didn't have time to search for it.

My 2 bobs worth:
Hel come with s/steel fittings and copper washers. Thats why I went for them, please read on......

It was explained to me via a few web sites, the value of s/steel over aluminium, in that there is galvanic corrosion between the different metal surfaces. It can/will still occur with s/steel but at much much slower rate
This is but one web site that gives many examples:

KSC Corrosion Technology Laboratory -- Materials Selection

The Hel website gives a good explanation as well, but I wanted to read more to be sure it wasnt just "hard sell", "blind me with science" hyperbole which is why I know about the nasa site

HEL Performance | Aluminium fittings

hope this helps

HEL Performance Company History

check the top line, it gives a local version of the site for wherever you are
cheers

Thanks, but I tried that and they only list up until '08 so I tried emailing them a little while ago asking for the part numbers. Hopefully I will get an answer and then can post it on here for all other '09 owners looking to upgrade lines.

I rang the Hel people to make sure it was all ok, prob a difference for ABS brakes but if my memory serves correctly the packaging was for 2004-2011, I dont haveABS and they did ask if it was naked or faired.
They gave great service and very prompt

Hopefully I get an email with the part numbers, otherwise I will definitely give them a call soon. Thanks

As expected, I got a quick email response from Phil at HEL today. This is what he informed me.

> The correct part numbers are HBF9757(front) and HBR9757(rear).
>
> Black on Black is no problem and though it is required for us to place
> the HEL tag on each line - (for identification and your lifetime
> warrenty registration), you can cut the tags off when you get them in.

So for everyone wanting to have all black lines, the yellow HEL tag does not have a function and can be removed.
