:drool::steve:

'nuff said!

But even so, I wonder if any of these parts will bolt onto the '07/'08 models. i looked into the specs and very little is different. also if we can retrofit that seat I'll be in heaven. :Flash:

I think the Fz6R looks sweet.

Did anybody check out the 09 FZ6's new seat? it looks like a Corbin.

What the hell!! Why not just buy an R6S?? The reason I like the fz6 its its lack of plastic body work. I like the naked look. I do want the ram air though!!

I agree, I don't really like it, especially the exhaust. The FZ6 underseat exhaust gives the bike it's awesome looks.

That looks like the Yamaha Comfort Gel seat. When I bought my '07 (got one of the first ones to reach the states - VIN # ...000056) the brochure showed this seat on the bike, but when the bike arrived it had the standard perf-look vinyl seat.

I agree with the other comments on this and the other thread: this model is targeting the new rider. It has a 1" lower seat, smaller rear tire, smaller gas tank, more front-end rake, and less of the technology that makes our FZ6 so great.

I noticed that about the FZ6 seat as well. I'm sure it's nowhere near the Quality of a Corbin, but maybe they did improve it... hmmmm...

Just noticed something, if you look closely at the pics the front fork & fender, the rear swingarm and the handlebar clamps are the same as the 04-06 model .FZ6:spank:<yamaha

I kind of like the fairing, except for the headlights.. The exhaust, front fork, rear swing etc looks cheap and ugly imo.

Looks *way* too front heavy for my tastes... it looks like the proportions of the bike are all wrong. Too much at the front, too minimal at the rear.

On the Suzuki, the exhaust balances the look, on the FZ6R it looks like the exhaust fell off or something! Really weird. Imho, they should have kept the underseat exhaust, would have looked way cooler, and balanced the whole aesthetic.

Overall, looking at all specs, changes, and technology, I am firmly in the 'Meh' camp!

What I found funny is if you watch the videos, they basically say that the bike is being made to accomodate female riders. They say this in reference to the white paint scheme, but it's funny nonetheless.

Personally, I don't like the look of it, much like many of you have already said. It looks too much like a GSXR and not like a Yamaha.:ban:

I'm sure someone here could tell us about the quality of this seat. Yamaha's European website shows several of the FZ6 models as having this same seat in 2008.

I had been meaning to ask this question for a while now. I haven't seen any after market seats I like, I can't stand any thing with "Fazer" written on it. And I would imagine that this seat could be ordered, especially now that it is avaible on a US model.

I believe that is the Yamaha Comfort Seat. Nimzotech has one on his bike, so you should contact him on how he likes it and where to get one from. I've seen it personally and it is much much softer than the stock seat. I prefer the Corbin seat over it because I prefer the firmer seats during spirited riding and I find the Corbin very comfortable for longer rides as well. I'm sure the Comfort seat is good for long rides as well, but doubt it is as good in the twisties for getting your weight shifting around the bike.

WOW I Hate It!! Im so glad they didnt replace the FZ with that.

The ONLY thing i want is the split seat retrofitted onto my 06
