I thought the restriction could be removed from the bike and then you wouldn't have to buy a new bike......?

As this thread has been resurrected , to address this ^^..

Changing out the throttle plate or modifying it allows full throttle (and HP):



If there's additional restrictions for 33 HP, I'm not aware of it...
