Do any of you have the same impression regarding the other FZ6 forum? I find more intelligent debate/discussion on this side. Take for example a thread entitled "...dumbest thing yet." (I guess one should soon expect a sequel?) Also, not particularly drawn to the trailer trash type language that moderators overlook. Thank you FZ6 Forum posters/moderators for maintaining a more professional site. Something bothers me about riders who exhibit/reveal a lack of maturity; it's a possible lethal combination. I'm not talking mistakes but rather sophomoric attitude. For example, bragging about doing exhibition wheelies, etc., where traffic conditions are less than safe (cross traffic, yellow lights, etc) does not impress me.

Maybe, but this site has a lot of useless polls that have nothing to do with FZ6 at all or riding in general... who cares about people's favorite food or movie is ... or how many pairs of socks one owns... sheesh:)

Are you kidding? This site is fantastic for information about the FZ6. I know the "other" forum being referred to, and it is chock full of squids. Here you get useful information to keep you alive and well informed; as opposed to there where you are told what is cool and dangerous and will end up getting you face first in the pavement.

As far as the off topic stuff, I think it's fine to have that on a site as long as it is off to the side. Alot of people make friends on here, and occasionally talking about the FZ6 can get old (for a brief period of time), so finding something to do, like go see a movie that everyone likes or talking about socks when it's the middle of the workday on a wednesday is just fine. As long as I know I can go right back to the Mods section and see what's new, it's all good for me.

This is the best forum by a mile, and that includes forums that I've seen for other models/brands. +1 for the topic. :Sport:

Actually, I've rather come to like the off topic stuff. Even the photo contest isn't just bikes. Instead of strictly a bike forum, it adds a social aspect for all of us with one very important thing in common.

Oh those guys are a bunch of pussycats. The one time I go "play" hard over there they get bent. I was dying, too funny.

You'd be surprised how many people post on both sites.

I perfer this one because it is organized much better, easy to read and great place to meet folks.

I would like to see more technical stuff here, but what the heck, where else can I talk about SOCKS?!?!?!?

HA! You know, I kind of like that aspect of SBN. I think that the tone that a lot of people have over there (random insults and talking-out-of-a$$ notwithstanding) and the off the cuff sense of humor are part of the attraction for me.

There's no denying that both forums have their own vibe and that users of both have a TON of information and knowledge, both about the FZ6 and motorcycles in general. Gotta love that.

But I can also respect people who are trying to get away from a certain type of personality/etc. on certain boards. I have a local board down here in So Cal that is probably one of the best general sport bike boards around town in the sense of keeping tabs on local events, organizations (track days, etc.) and things that affect us locally. But honestly, I find that a vocal group of VERY conservative, xenophobic, racist Republican a**holes spoil that site for me in such a way that I've decided I won't spend my online time hanging out over there. Such a shame too, because some of those other guys on that board are decent people.

I am friends with some conservative folks and I can respect other's opinions, political and otherwise, but I definitely draw the line at racism and people calling other members "un-American" if they don't think we should expel / incarcerate every Spanish-speaking person in this country.

FWIW, if you think SBN is off the hook in terms of "trailer trash language and comments" you should read what some of these clowns post.

Well, I like the forum compared to the other one.
The main topic is about our bike but we also discuss other things. I think maybe thats what make this forum so great. Freedom of speach! Some of us dont speak perfect english. Some of us are new riders and are fairly inexperienced and some of us do not know anything about mechanic or electrical things. Its nice to ask a question without fear that we are going to be ridiculed or told off. Also the people here are very freindly. Down to earth normal people. Not the crap you usually get on most forums. I believe most of us here enjoy reading about things that happen to some of us when its bike related or not. And if someone doesn't like it. No one forces you to read the threads or participate anyway. As for the information here regarding the FZ6? Well for a forum thats only been around for 1 year I believe it is more that enough. But thats just my personal opinion.

You don't have to read them seesh:)

I say since some of that forum and some of this forum are both going to the Dragon together, we have like a old school gangland knife, and bowling ball fight.

That or a Murder Suicide pact. Those are the only real answers.

I think superglue a bowling ball to one hand, and knife in the other and then just throw down in the CROT parking lot. The other forum will have to wear black hats with blue trim and we can wear blue hats with black trim. To the death!

FZ6-Forum.comFTW LOL LOL LOL

I think you guys should have a dance off.....just like they did it in west side story. That's how real men settle disputes.
Oh yes, or maybe have an old school style hip hop kinda ghetto blaster thing going down.
How many head spins can you do Steve?

I have fun on both forums... who cares which one is "smarter"...

Something I am not a fan of is bashing other forums... you`ll never find a thread on SBN saying how it is better than the FZ6 Forum for example...

If you don`t want to post on both, pick your favorite and forget about the other! :)

Excuse me... I wasn't knocking the content here (or the content in the other forum)... just the silly polls we have here... You know the ones "do women with tattoos of polls look good in underwear".... Did ya' not see the smilie face?:):):):)
