New to site, I'm going to be honest, I build custom golf cars. Picked up a 2008 FZ6 motor, complete with wire harness/header ect ect that I was able to hear it run. My question for you is the fuel pump pressure needed to run the EFI. I couldn't ask the seller for the fuel pump assy, wouldn't have worked in my situation anyway. Seems an in line fuel pump (at the right pressure setting) hooked up to the stock wire harness (black and red wires at the tank) would work? I know you love your bikes, please don't take this post as anything other than a tech question to help build a "one off" car/cart. Thanks for your time. Dave

From the service manual for the 07 model:

"The pressure regulator maintains the fuel
pressure that is applied to the injector at only 250 kPa (2.5 kg/cm2)."

Any EFI pump will work. What you need is a fuel pressure regulator that will deliver 250 kPa. Luckily, there are adjustable regulators out there.

Good luck on the insane golf cart project. We have a section for Non-FZ6 motorcycles, and I think many of us would be happy to see you post pictures of the build there.

Thanks Fred and Cali Rider for you quick responce and nice words. As the "build" unfolds, I will post in the Non-FZ6 section. Fred, the service manual didn't happen to post the "PSI" reading in terms that I could understand, did it? I'm not shure what 250 kpa (2.5 kg/cm2) means in psi terms. Thanks again
