I saw this "programmable" performance chip on ebay for like 40 bucks. Would'nt that be a better and cheaper route than going with the Power Commander or Juice Box?

no it tricks the mass air sensor into thinking its seeing more air when it is not. therefore dumping more fuel. if this was a viable option it would be posted all over this site and every other moto forum.

LOL!

So you really think some 'performance chip' for $40 is going to be comparible to a $300 PCIII?? You actually have to ask this question???

You should get that other chip on eBay that promisses "15+ horsepower" for $30 while you are at it!!...or is this the same 'chip'??

prob. the same chip just different description to start fooling a new breed!

edit: I can't believe I forgot this... YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!

I saw the same one and it claims 15 different maps, i figured it was 15 different resistors inside that fooled the MAP sensor in 15 variations.

IMO go ahead and try it, if it works then great, if not then you are only out $40

or if it leans it out too much while you are trying one of the maps and the motor grenades itself you are out a little more!

Eh... i am still under warranty, just remove and ask for a new engine.

I am not going to be the first to order and try the thing, i just saw it and read the description.

oh, believe me you wouldn't be the first nor the last....how's the saying go? "Theres a sucker born every minute" "a fool and his money are soon parted" "if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is".... i could go on forever but i will stop here :D

Hey Jay, I can get you the same performance increase for half the price. Send me $20.00.

Please do. Pete still owes me money for the time I worked on his bike.

I adjusted the rotator splines, swapped to elastoferrous fork springs, and replaced the air in his tires with a nitrogen/oxygen mix with a 98% purity.

So send Pete some cash, he's got to pay me back for all the work I did for him.

He'll pay you as soon as you adjust his difluter valve correctly, the way you had it adjusted made him to leak catalytic fluid all over his knifler joint...

It was a huge mess and you are luck he doesn't sue
