On my fourth tank since purchase, so far 51.7 has been my highest, and 44.8 the lowest. That's on 87 octane. The 44.8 was a lot of town riding and short trips. Still running stock gearing, fresh oem spark plugs, may try iridium next.

This weekend I was getting mostly 45ish mpg, which is a whopping 10 mpg better than normal for me. Differences: Lots of long-distances, more slab than usual, less traffic, but also much harder on the throttle than normal. Also at much higher elevations (5000-9000 ft instead of <1000 ft).

Sooooo, I'm getting about 32 mpg but I have an akrapovic slip on and dyno tune for my (Faster Blue) fz6. I'm pretty sure my mileage is suffering because of the tune but when I put a stock map, I get about 38mpg. Is there anything someone would suggest I do or check to see if I can get better mileage? Or it is what it is? Thanks!

You should start a new thread but post your fuel map and lets see it. Perhaps the tuner got a bad read from their o2 sensor and made it super fat rich? Do the tail pipes ever clean up and what do the plugs look like? If the porcelain and electrode are black and sooty you may need a hotter plug to keep them clean so it doesn't foul them... CR10E come to mind. Gap under 0.028"...

Advancing the ignition will improve the fuel efficiency but may come at the cost of higher octane fuel.

After removing the snorkle and adjusting the TPS to 17 I got 50 Xtra kilometers out of my tank. Reserve mode kicks in at 300 km now. Lots of altitude and fast curves plus plus roads (100 kph Limit) and i aim for fun, not milage. It's a nice side effect to the mod! Also I do at least 60 km per ride, mostly around 200, that surely helps.

So summing it up: 5l/100 km or 47 MPG if i typed in the right numbers to convert.
