Frame sliders

What brands do you guy's use. My wife has an '05 FZ6 and she wants me to put some Frame sliders on it. The only problem is all the ones I can find for her bike are too long. She doesn't want them to stick out that far. Does anyone have them that are maybe 1" to 2" long?

i use the motovation's they are both same size and i think they look good,,,i never want to find out the quality

There are truck loads on eBay... and of various lengths to satisfy your wife....

Slider length specific to a model of bike is there for a reason. If you are looking for a slider that is less than the manufacturer's recommendation for that model of bike then you're making a choice as to how much of the bike you're willing to sacrifice in a drop or slide. From what I understand engine cases, mirrors, fairings, handlebars are fairly expensive and to pay the same price for a less effective shorter sliders than the longer ones recommended for the bike makes sense? I use the Uncage sliders and like them functionally as well as esthetically. I drew a yellow line from the front tire past the edge of the slider upwards to see what I think my sliders will protect the bike from in a drop or slide. Looks good to me but I haven't laid it down to test this.

Motivation. Number one reason? Excellent quality bolts that are the correct length. Seen too many people on the forum have problem with the Ebay deals and strip out the threads in the engine.

When you install these things don't kill them, be careful and don't blindly torque them out.

Very good point, what are your sliders made out of though, i have seen them wear down a good bit in a slide and would personally prefer a bit longer to account for the wearing.
