Forum Sticker

Re: Froum Sticker

This would require two stickers... one on top of the other to get the shadow effect. And it's gotta be red of course. :)

:eek::eek::eek:

only problem is
FZ6forums . com
Is not our site :rant:lol....

600riders.com or fz6forum.com are our domains I prefer to use the 600riders.com.

The fz6forums . com is a new site started by a marketing company that has motorcycle .com and has hundreds of forums.. Alot of sites have been purchased by them. They have the sites to make money not because the love the bikes ect.... NOT THIS ONE THOU!!!! I will always be ours....

Re: Froum Sticker

I have been thinking about a forum sticker for awhile how but Im not an artist. I was pondering the idea of hiring one. Not sure how expensive that would be thou.... So everyone submit me your ideas and then we can have a forum vote on it...... Comments?

I looked into this recently after many failed attempts at a company logo (validation that degrees in chemistry and not art were a good call). I found this place that will do a logo for $299 USD but we already have such a good start with our in-house talent it would be a waste of money.

Some good ideas so far, i can more or less cut out anything, the problem with two colour graphics is the time it takes to lay them up.

Single colour is a lot cheaper and i could cut them in what ever colour people would require. Will have a play tonight and post some pics.

Re: Froum Sticker

I'd love to buy a sticker for my TOOL CHEST. Now would it go on the ratchet drawer or screwdriver? Hmm....

COLORS
If you're going to provide different colored stickers, I recommend starting with the FACTORY FZ6 colors available. That way, people will be able to match the sticker to the look of their bike (and perhaps riding gear) no problem.

SIZE
I've seen LOTS of company stickers from motorcycle companies. I'm sure you all have as well. They're generally 3 inches long (8cm) and 1 inch wide (2 cm).
-The SMALLER the sticker, the MORE places you can stick it.
-The BIGGER the sticker, the FEWER places you can stick it. It may attract more NOTICE, but your space limitations may prevent you from putting it in a good spot.
--SMALLER stickers are better in my opinion (see above dimensions).

LOGO
I've seen people from all under the rainbow SELL motorcycle logo stickers (hand made by themselves) without getting into any trouble. You type YAMAHA TUNING FORK on Ebay and watch what happens. (I want the coffee mug!)

WHAT I WANT
Here's an IDEA of what I want:

--Everything WHITE is CLEAR, so the sticker itself can be applied to any surface and reveal ONLY THE LETTERS AND LOGO.

Here's a RED version:

Here's a GOLD one:

I think it looks very spiritual Elm.

I would personally like a sticker for my swing arm, so a bit bigger than what you had in mind, but then in the faster red of course ;)

Well as they say "you can please some of the people some of the time but you can't please all of the people all of the time"

About the spiritual thing; there we go with the OLYMPICS again...

Actually, imagine the GOLD one on the swingarm! A bit longer perhaps so it covers the swingarm more and I'm SURE people would start asking questions.

Oops. I spammed the J/K button. Ha ha.

Getting serious, I would vote on my own GOLD sticker idea. Remember, there would be no white background with it. It would only display the font and logo, but I think it would look GREAT on a swingarm or toolchest.

Well I reckon that red or silver would look the best on "my" swing arm.
i think the gold would look good on the few models with gold front forks, but I haven't seen any of those here.

Oh right...I forgot the FZ1 had the gold forks. In that case, make the font color match the bike and that would look good. The idea is to use a WIRE font, where only the lines are colored and the rest of the sticker is CLEAR. You could get the stickers in sets of 2 for each side of the swingarm and possibly some other ones in smaller scale to mount on other parts.

In the end, it's about time us FZ6-FORUM critters had an insigna of our own.

Once we have a design it would be no problem for me to do say three different size decals.

For example,

A large set for the swing arm
A smaller set for fairing etc
And maybe a smaller squeare on for screen

I will have a look to see what colours i have, do not have a vast amount.

Will put up a list later in the week
