Flash Rate Too Fast Even Without LEDs

As the title suggests I'm having flash rate issues with my turn signals. This video explains it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is normally a case of too much voltage, you should be able to put a ballast resistor before the relay to slow it down, but maybe you just need a new relay switch?

There are 2 color codes for your left and right turn signals.

Right side, front and back is a green wire and a black wire is the ground.

Make sure the polarity is correct each black wire should attached to the wire that feeds ground return on the bulb.

Left side, front and back is a chocolate colored wire.

The original front directional lights had a dual filament 1157 type lamp. one filament was for the directional signal and the other was a running light signal.

The running light wire color was a blue with red tracer. You may have terminated this running light wire and no longer use it. Are your front lights the correct bulb and socket and properly wired? If you're not using the running light circuit in the front there should be no blue w/ red tracer attached.

Here's the type lamp used in the rear. It is the 1156 type single filament. Not metal base. The original front bulb should be the same except it is the 1157 type dual filament bulb. I believe these bulbs can be inserted 180 out and that would pose a problem with the dual filament lamp.

Please check turn lights bulbs wattages. Cycles depends on current flow.(small wattages short cycles).

I'd start by replacing the stock flasher with an electronic one that'll work with LEDs... even though you don't have them, it *should* solve the issue. Superbrightleds.com has it for cheap, and while you're at it, might as well buy some LED bulbs and never worry about a bulb burning out.

IIRC the rear bulbs are actually a 7443, the taillight is an 11-series. Since the rear is single filament, there shouldn't be a "backwards" since there's only 2 sets of contacts to hit.
