Finally started my mods today!

I ordered my Watsen flush mounts on May 1st... and they finally got to my house last week. Almost 3 months for the suckers, but well worth it. (In case anyone cares, Mr. Watsen said that the version I got has a new type of LED in it. I can't notice any physical difference.)

So today I installed those guys along with clear tail lenses and amber flashing clear tail bulbs.



Also took the stickers off. By the way: How did you guys get the sticker off of the tank? That thing is absurd. Afraid to take a razor to it because I don't want to scratch the paint!

Up next is BD43's dual headlight mod (just need to burn some gas first... have almost a full tank and don't want to lift it full), and then the FAZR6 fender eliminator along with my new set of Carbon Fiber Leo Vince LV One's coming in the mail. Figured I'd do those at the same time since everything will be off anyway.

Almost starting to look like a real bike. Haha.

A bottle of "decal off" from the motorcycle shop and a heat gun/blowdryer. Then use something soft. No harder than your fingernail to scrape it off.

I won't (shouldn't) leak when it's full. And it's not that heavy.

Always wondered how those turn signals would look on the 08. Looks good.

Now you just need a projector kit, and to paint your radiator covers black.

I've already got the mod bug. I've seen some angel eyes halo kits that look awesome... but all in time.

I do need to paint the silver bits. Maybe I'll pick some up before the weekend is over. Hahaha.

Very nice! DownrangeFuture is spot-on when it comes to gas tank sticker. I actually used Goo Off without issues. Just be sure to wash and wax the tank when you're done.

I like those turn signals from what I have heard is they are a lot brighter then most aftermarket LED lights. How is the visibility from dead center in front of the bike when they are indicating?

Damn, thanks so much man! I remembered that I have a bottle of Goo Gone laying around the house. Going to go back in the garage in a bit and let it soak then try to wipe it off. It'll also help on the fairing where there is residue. Going to try that out first, but really appreciate the offer.

They are really bright. I can take video for you when I'm back in the garage and post it. Not as visible from "behind" as the stock signals, but from the front and sides you definitely can't miss them.

I saw a guy just peel the sticker off and dab it with duct tape to take the rest off and then just wipe it down with polish on youtube and it worked perfect. :rockon:

My problem is that it seems like the sticker was designed to not come off in 1 piece. The only thing I could fully peel off was the top layer of plastic. The rest just chips when I try to grab hold of it. We'll see how this Goo Gone works!

Goo Gone won't help it come off in one piece. You need heat for that. Even a regular blow dryer will help, but not nearly as effective as heat gun.

Nope not running lights. They aren't designed to be on all the time. It'll overheat if used continuously.

Now that I think of it, the last batch that he made did come with a resistor to allow the units to run at half power to be used as running lights. Mine didn't.

Hmm... maybe it has something to do with the new design. Not sure, but I should look into it.

They are really well made, and were plug and play. Only thing was that they took AWHILE to get to me.

Hairdryer/heat gun is all I've ever needed to remove stickers. A little rubbing alcohol when done to remove any left over residue on the bike. Too simple. :thumbup:

Welp, seeing as my garage has no outlets, and I have no hair to dry, I'm out of luck over here. Tried Goo Gone but it didn't do a damned thing for the tank sticker. Worked pretty well to remove the residue on the fairing though.

Eric, maybe I'll swing by your place one day (whatever is easiest for you) and take you up on that offer. Sincerely appreciate it.
